DeSmet Public Schools

This will be a 21,830 square foot addition and remodel to the existing 19,762 square foot DeSmet Public School. The project includes the addition of a gymnasium, locker rooms, kitchen, cafeteria, and classrooms. There will be some remodel inside the existing building to include removing some classrooms to accommodate new offices and new classrooms. The existing entry and library will be remodeled and added on to. There will be some minimal work in the rest of the existing building.
The basic structure of the gymnasium is a metal building package. The rest of the addition will be wood framed construction. The building will be fully sprinkled. The site work includes curb, gutter, sidewalk improvements, as well as new landscaping at the entry and between the new and existing building for an outdoor learning area.
