Why Classifications Matter: Building Clear Paths to Growth
At Jackson, we believe that clarity, consistency, and opportunity are key to building strong teams and successful careers. That’s why we’ve implemented a classification system within our core craft positions—Laborer, Carpenter, and Foreman.
Each classification comes with a defined set of responsibilities, skills, and performance expectations. Whether you’re just starting out or stepping into a leadership role, you’ll know exactly what’s expected of you from day one.
Investing in People
At Jackson, we recognize that Foremen and Superintendents are the backbone of our project teams. That’s why we’ve invested in a comprehensive, hands-on training program designed to equip our Foremen and Superintendents with the tools, knowledge, and leadership skills needed to drive success on every jobsite.
Our Foreman Training program isn’t just about checking boxes—it’s about building confidence, clarity, and capability. Foremen play a pivotal role in ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and to the highest standards of quality. We’re here to help them succeed by providing training on topics such as safety, scheduling & planning, quality control, and leadership & communication.
Superintendents are engaged in a training curriculum from the National Center for Construction Education & Research (NCCER) – the same organization where we get our apprenticeship curriculum. The course has 16 modules with each module having text, audio, videos with experts, and actionable lessons, discussions and exercises on topics like change management, quality, human resources, information management, and leadership.
